Wolverine Fans …
The South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club thanks all parents and supporters of our Wolverine athletes. It is truly a joy to watch our young athletes compete in sports at South O’Brien.
Any parent or guardian of a student participating in Junior High and High School South O’Brien sponsored athletics, any contracted coach for South O’Brien athletics, or any person over the age of 18 wanting to support Wolverine athletics are considered members of the South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club (Booster Club). We are a community-based organization that supports the athletic programs at our school. The club was organized to help offer financial assistance to the needs of the South O’Brien Athletes. We raise money by sponsoring various projects during the school year.
We hold regular Booster Club meetings once each month and special meetings as needed. Meetings will be posted on the school activity calendar and are usually held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the High School. Check Booster's Facebook page and school activity calendar for meetings. All parents of South O’Brien Junior High and High School athletes are members of the Booster Club and are asked to work at Booster Club events/projects.
The Booster Club’s main tasks throughout the year include:
- Ordering product, organizing, and staffing concession stands for Football, Volleyball, Baseball, and Softball,
- Fundraising for special occasions such as state tournaments,
- Fundraising for athletic team wish lists,
- And supporting all Wolverine athletes.
The Booster Club is always looking for:
- Volunteers at concession stands,
- Volunteers with apparel sales,
- Members with ideas for supporting our student-athletes,
- Members with connections to help with fundraisers or other ways to support our student-athletes,
- Groups that need to raise money and are willing to spend time running the concession stands or cleaning up after home games,
- Groups that need to fulfill volunteer hours.
The Booster Club is always looking for new, active members who have ideas to contribute, talents to share, or time to volunteer.
To become more involved with the South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club, please join us at a meeting, contact the South O’Brien Athletic Director (Heath Reichle), or contact any booster club board member.
