Join us on Monday, April 27, 2026 for TK & Kindergarten Round-Up! Children who will be 5 years old by September 15, 2026 are invited to attend. Students currently enrolled in South O’Brien 4-year-old preschool will participate during their regular class time. If your child is new to the district, please call the office to register for a morning or afternoon session. We look forward to welcoming our future students!
South O'Brien Jazz I competed at the Iowa Jazz Championships on Tuesday, April 7. The band gave their best performance of the season! Three students were awarded soloist awards: Anessa Johnson, clarinet; Brennan Billick, tenor sax; and Asa Flinders, trombone. The band received a Participation Award as they did not place in the Top 8 this year. The South O'Brien community should be very proud of these students and their work ethic to make it to the Iowa Jazz Championships as one of the top 15 bands in the entire state! Come support our Dinner Theatre and see your favorite literary tales as you’ve never seen them before. It’s the perfect show for the whole family!

With the new fitness center up and running, we will be offering two different morning workout sessions for 7-12 grade student athletes starting November 17.
Mondays and Thursdays - Speed and Agility Sessions
Tuesdays and Wednesdays - Open Weight Room
6:30 - 7:15 AM
Speed and Agility sessions will be held in the auxiliary gym, and open weight room will be held in the fitness center.
