South O’Brien is starting a Weight and Speed & Agility Program for students in grades 5-8.

This program is intended to introduce our youth to weight training and speed & agility training. This is intended for all students, both boys and girls, who want to improve their strength and fitness.

Students will be introduced to proper techniques in the weight room that are focused on improving their overall strength.  They will also learn how to complete routines designed to improve dexterity and physical fitness. This program will be led by South O’Brien staff members and coaches.

The program will run on Saturday Mornings from 9:00-10:30 am, beginning on March 28th through May 9th, in the High School Fitness Center.  

Transportation may be provided from Primghar (elementary school), Sutherland (Zub’s Shop on Hwy 10) and Calumet (city park) if there is enough interest.  This will be determined by the administration after the completion of the sign-up.

Students intending to participate in this program must complete this sign-up form by Monday, February 23rd to register.
