Guidance

Hello all! My name is Mrs. Ashley Bonner and I am the new 7-12 Professional School Counselor at South O’Brien. My bachelors degree was obtained from Buena Vista University and included educational studies and psychology. I also received my masters degree from Buena Vista University in December of 2019. The past two years I have worked as a College Access Coach through Iowa College Aid while also substitute teaching and coaching.

I am married to the new math teacher, Mr. Gable Bonner and we are both looking forward to meeting new members of the South O’Brien community. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, shopping, kayaking, cheering on the Hawkeyes, playing with our two dogs, Drax and Thor, and also spending time with friends and family. Mr. Bonner and myself are also due to become first time parents in March of 2021.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Email me anytime or call the high school office.

Best,

Ashley Bonner
