South O'Brien School District

Our mission is to prepare students to be responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

Coming together as ONE, we are South O'Brien.

Elementary PBIS

At South O’Brien Elementary School we believe that our students can achieve their highest possible intellectual, social, physical, and character development and have the right and responsibility to learn in a safe and academically effective environment.

To ensure success for every student with their own unique needs, we promote a community where the expectations for all members include listening, being prepared, and being responsible and respectful.  We believe that meeting these expectations will create an optimal learning environment.  At South O’Brien we have established a vision that includes our Paws Expectations:

Banner Level School

This is the third year in a row we have received this award! Banner schools are sustaining universal systems and practices. Students are accessing interventions such as check in/check out and 50% are responding positively to the support. The tier 2 team engages families and staff; and uses a daily progress report to progress monitor student response to additional supports.
