Athletic Boosters

South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club

The South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club is a community-based organization that supports the athletic programs at our school.  The Athletic Booster Club was organized to help offer financial assistance to the needs of the South O’Brien Athletes.  The Athletic Boosters raise money by sponsoring various projects during the school year.

Athletic Booster Club meetings will be posted on the school activity calendar and are usually held  the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the High School Library.

“Like” the Booster Club on Facebook to get the latest and greatest Wolverine Athletics information, as well as meeting reminders and concession stand work schedules.

Wolverine Fans …

The South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club thanks all parents and supporters of our Wolverine athletes. It is truly a joy to watch our young athletes compete in sports at South O’Brien.

Any parent or guardian of a student participating in Junior High and High School South O’Brien sponsored athletics, any contracted coach for South O’Brien athletics or any person over the age of 18 wanting to support Wolverine athletics are considered members of the South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club (Booster Club).

We hold regular Booster Club meetings once each month and special meetings as needed. Meeting notices can be found on the South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club Facebook Page or on the events calendar through the school’s website.

The Booster Club’s main tasks throughout the year include:

  • Ordering product, organizing and staffing concession stands for Football, Volleyball, Baseball, and Softball,
  • Running concessions for two youth basketball tournaments,
  • Fundraising for special occasions such as state tournaments,
  • Fundraising for athletic team wish lists,
  • And supporting all Wolverine athletes.

The Booster Club is always looking for:

  • Volunteers at concession stands,
  • Volunteers with apparel sales,
  • Members with ideas for supporting our student-athletes,
  • Members with connections to help with fundraisers or other ways to support our student-athletes,
  • Groups that need to raise money and are willing to spend time with running the concession stands or cleaning up after home games,
  • Groups that need to fulfill volunteer hours.

The Booster Club is always looking for new, active members who have ideas to contribute, talents to share, or time to volunteer.

To become more involved with the South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club, please join us at a meeting, contact the South O’Brien Athletic Director (Mr. Kent De Zeeuw), or contact any booster club board member.
