Hour of Code Logo
The first full week in December is Computer Science Education (CS Ed) Week. Many people celebrate the week with Hour of Code activities by using resources on the website www.code.org

In 2017, CS Ed Week is December 4-8.

“Anything worth doing doesn’t come easy.”
Watch basketball champ Stephen Curry try the Hour of Code!

Check it out on FacebookTwitter, and YouTube.

If you are interested in learning to code, check out some of the coding resources you can access using the links below.  Most are free.
South O’Brien students in grades 7-12 or staff members who do an Hour of Code anytime in December can print a certificate and show it to Ms. Helfter for a treat or small prize, which will be available starting Wednesday, Dec 6. If you take a picture, please submit it to Ms. Helfter via email:  mhelfter@soswolverines.org

I’ve been a teacher at Primghar and South O’Brien since 1979.

I started in this new position in the Fall of 2016, and  I’m enjoying the new adventure.
