Backpack 4 Kids

Wolverine Snack Shack and Backpack 4 Kids Programs

Snack Shack

The CASE 2 class at South O’Brien High School runs the Wolverine Snack Shack from which they sell healthy snacks to students four days a week.

The class, taught by Mrs. Negus, will sack up food each week and deliver to kids in their backpacks.

Anyone wishing to donate or find out more about the project may contact Kathleen Negus at South O’Brien High School (712-949-2115) or drop off donated items at the Central Office. Checks may be made out to South O’Brien Community School with Backpack 4 Kids in the memo.

Backpack 4 Kids

The class also runs the Backpack for Kids Project as their community service project. Food and money donations are being accepted at the school for children needing food over the weekend or over a long holiday.

Backpacks 4 Kids will also occasionally attempt to meet the emergency clothing needs of students. If you would like to make a cash donation that can be used for clothing items, please designate that on your check or attach a note to your cash donation. Please NO donations of clothing.
