South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club

The South O’Brien Athletic Booster Club is a community-based organization that supports the athletic programs at our school.  The Athletic Booster Club was organized to help offer financial assistance to the needs of the South O’Brien Athletes.  The Athletic Boosters raise money by sponsoring various projects during the school year.

Athletic Booster Club meetings will be posted on the school activity calendar and will be held at 6 pm in the High School Library.

2017  Fall Concession Stand Work Schedule

The South O’Brien Athletic Boosters are asking parents of students in football, volleyball, cross country, and cheer/dance to work one night at a concession stand this season.  We will have concessions at High School Volleyball, C(9th)/JV football, and Varsity football.

If you are unable to work your assigned night, you must trade with someone.  Every effort has been made to assign parents to a game your child isn’t playing in, but some students play at multiple levels(and the person preparing this schedule doesn’t know everyone).  Thanks in advance for your cooperation and time for our kids athletics.

Athletic Booster Golf Tournament

A BIG thank you to everyone who contributed to or participated in the 3rd annual SOHS Athletic Booster Golf Tournament on August 6th!  This is our big one to raise monies for the purchase of new uniforms for the athletes and every penny helps.  This year we were able to raise over $11,000 to put towards new uniform purchases.  A banner will be displayed outside the football field, and moved indoors for basketball season, displaying the generosity of all our great supporters.  Take a look at the awesome people and businesses that helped our event be a success and tell them THANKS next time you see them.  Also a shout out to the Paullina Golf Course Board for once again donating the use of their course to our cause…we really appreciate it!

SOHS 2017/2018 CALENDARS

Once again the SOHS Athletic Boosters are selling 2017/2018 calendars.  The calendars have every home & away game for every C-Squad, JV, and Varsity team event along with early dismissals, holiday breaks and school in-service days.  Best of all every month of this 13 month calendar features one of our awesome athletic teams!  The calendars were funded by ads from area businesses and they are featured at the bottom of the pages; some even have coupons for their business!

They are only $15 and a limited number are available.  They make a GREAT gift for a grandparent as they have all the dates of all their grandbabies’ games right there!  Calendars will be for sale at both schools during open house and at the home football games.  If you need one and cannot attend these events drop Jen Mars or Becky Dau an e-mail at becky.dau@staples.com or kjmars@tcaexpress.net

THANKS for your support and GO WOLVERINES!!!
